Here is a little information about the mission you will be helping Megan go on:

We will be traveling to Maisha International Orphanage in Kisumu, Kenya. This December we are planning to lay out plans for agricultural training and empowerment to help further our vision of sustainability.

Areas where we will be involved this December:
- Agricultural training and empowerment organized and lead by Bruce Edwards of Regional Food Bank.
- Assist with finishing touches on the building of Maisha Community Center, along with adding a controlled access gate for furthering our efforts of child safety at the center.
- Visit Kibera one of the biggest slums in Africa to visit people living with HIV/AIDs
- Host VBS to about 300 local children
- Experience cultural Christmas with Maisha orphans and widows.
- Orphanage-assist with Maisha feeding program and provide basic care to orphans and destitute children
- Continue working with the women in our Business Empowerment Program.
- Organize extra-curricular activities for local children in the village including a Scrapbook / Photography project, Pen pal program, etc
The total cost of the trip is $3500.
In Swahili, Maisha means Life …please prayerfully consider helping to sponsor me and the mission team to bring life to these needy ones. For more info: www.maishainternational.or14.
